Ashland Springs Hotel
Photo taken in August 2008
The above view is from Hillcrest Street near the three-way corner that also intersects with Glenview and Vista. Ashland Springs Hotel can be clearly seen to the right. On the left is part of a Monkey Puzzle Tree (Araucaria araucana). The stone sculpture of sorts is something you don’t see everyday. The sky is smoky from California wildfires.

What a gorgeous vista. There is nothing quite like the rolling hills of southern Oregon and northern California in summer. You framed this so nicely between the two trees.

That is just a tremendous view. Be honest, is Oregon the loveliest state in the US?

Kris, I would have to say “yes.” That’s why I moved here. Don’t tell anyone though. I like the place free of people.
