Japanese Maple shows off its fall colors

The Japanese maples in Ashland have gone past their peak now. In Tokyo they are just about to enter their glory.
Today’s pictures have nothing to do with Ashland. Sorry. I’m in Tokyo, Japan where these were taken, and today’s photos are really for Amanda, Ashland’s cow lover.
These life-size cattle were spotted in Asakusa (浅草). I think they were in front of a restaurant called Heijoen (平城苑). There was one more steer on the ground, painted gold with a gold dog on his back.
If you look closely at the one above you’ll see a Japanese lady in kimono painted on the cow’s back. Ironically, the building next door included an Animal Hospital and a beauty salon (for your pet).
