The 10-0 Southern Oregon University football team will look to go 11-0 this coming Saturday in Ashland against 9-1 DSU. Massey has the Raiders as 18-point favorites.
If the Raiders win and USF, Reinhardt, Morningside, or Lindsey Wilson should lose then SOU will get another home playoff game on November 25. Lindsey Wilson is the team most likely to lose. Massey has Lindsey Wilson as 5-point favorites over Southeastern FL.
More items of note, Massey has three Frontier Conference teams in the final 16. The coaches have only SOU, despite (or maybe because of???) the Frontier Conference’s history of winning road playoff games. The Frontier Conference gets two votes in the coaches’ poll. The Mid-South Conference gets five votes. So it isn’t surprising that four Mid-South Conference teams are going to the playoffs, and two are ranked in the top four, even though the conference hasn’t produced a national champion in the past 15 years (Frontier Conference teams have won seven national champions in the last 15 years).

For the first time, in 70 years, the SOU football team is 7-0. However, in the rankings, nothing is new. Massey still has the Raiders as #4, and the coaches will still have Southern Oregon as #7 when their poll comes out tomorrow.
The teams, ahead of the Raiders in the rankings, all have easy opponents this coming weekend. (What else is new?) SOU hosts Massey’s #12, Montana Western, on Saturday. The Raiders are 11-point favorites according to Massey.
