The world’s largest beach volleyball tournament is happening right now in Seaside, Oregon. We are not there this year. Today’s photo is from last year.

Several teams made up of SOU alum (Holgen / Yomtob, Friar / Goudarzian, etc.) are in this year’s tournament. You can follow along here.

After defeating College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon University at home, the Southern Oregon volleyball team did it again to those same two teams on the road to win the Cascade Collegiate Conference championship tournament and move into the NAIA National Championships. They will be playing to win it all in Iowa later this month.

Let's see now, where were we? Oh yeah, the deciding match goes to 15, but you have to win by 2 points. The Coyotes made it to 15 first, but the Raiders tied it up once again.

Classes begin at Southern Oregon University on Monday, but the fall sports are already well underway. Today’s photo is a scene from last night’s volleyball victory at the SOU McNeil Pavilion.

I tried out my new 80-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor lens and am happy with the results.
