Odaiba

There’s an island on the edge of Tokyo Bay. It has a huge bridge leading from Tamachi to the island. The beach wasn’t crowded at all and luckily there was sand so it was an awesome place to hang out. There was a sign saying no swimming and the water was cold but the sand was fun to play on.

Aqua City, a shopping and walking around area, is right on the beach, so after hanging out in the sun, you can have a blast shopping and eating at a restaurant. The shopping building was lit up with bright blue lights and people were taking pictures everywhere. It was soooo cool! I’m totally going to bring my friends there some time and shop and hang on the beach.

We ate Hawaiian style burgers at a place called Kua ‘Aina. From the outside Kua ‘Aina was on the top of lit up blue stairs. It looked like a small restaurant that movie stars ate at. The whole restaurant was lit up and gleaming with blue lights. When we got inside the look changed immediately to Hawaiian style with flower lays and casual wood feel to the place. We sat in a room with one whole wall a windows and a great view of the Tokyo Bay with boats that looked like they were on fire with all the different colors of lights. The whole bay was lit up with colored reflection. It wasn’t just the bridge that was named Rainbow, it’s the whole bay, Aqua City and more that burst with colors.

People had BBQs on the beach and lots of friends having fun. It was a really cool experience and I’m going to bring my friends with me next time so we can have a party! The only problem was the walk over the bridge. It was really, really, really long, but enjoyable if you have a chatty partner :)

Frederiksberg Park

We went to Frederiksberg Park last Saturday. At first we went to a playground in the park. They had hammocks and bars to swing on. Ryan and I first went to the bars. And then after having a snack we got a hammock. It was not comfortable at all. It was made out of wood, but after Ryan and I moved around a lot we found a comfortable spot.

Then we made our way up through the park until we reached three hills that led to a castle. Ryan and I raced up them, barefoot. They were so steep we had to use our hands and feet to climb up! Our feet were all muddy from the hill. Our hands too.

Later we had ice cream and the lady who made them for us stuck heart lolly pops into whipped cream on top of the ice cream! Yumm.

Our trip to Sweden last weekend

Last weekend we went to Gotenberg, Sweden. We stayed on a ship/hotel called The Hotel Barken Viking.

We ate a lot of good food there. This picture is of our breakfast on the last day. One day we went to a big awesome building with lots of restraunts, meat and other food in it. We went to a restraunt where we ate some really good meatballs.

This is Ellie and I rocking out on the deck of The Hotel Barken Viking. My dad went to a metal concert which we could hear from the ship. I’m wearing the metaltown shirt in this picture.

This is Ellie and I practicing our mega cool, super secret, hand shake. We are getting real good at it. The ride home in the train was really boring but Ellie and I practiced the hand shake a lot.

San Francisco trip

For my 12th birthday, I went to San Francsco to go to Alcatraz and Japan town.

This is a picture of Japan town from up above.

hotel tomo

This is the lobby in our hotel. It had a Japanese anime theme to it. It was called the hotel Tomo and had very cushy chairs in the lobby and the room.

This is my sister and I on a trolly. In this picture I looked happy but when there wasn’t a picture being taken it creeped me out.

This is a very fancy hotel by the name of The Fairmount. It was very large and pretty.

This is the view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the elevator in The Fairmount. It was really fun to ride up and down in the elevator because it was very high up, glass, pretty and fast.

This is another picture from the elevator.

This is a picture of Alcatraz from a trolley.

This is an awesome piece of a light house in a museum nearby the port where a boat was going to take us to Alcatraz. In the museum they also had a fully intact piratey looking boat, some very soft beaver fur and lots of other stuff.

This is cool shaped bread. They had lots of it in this cool bread shop. My favorite personally is the large crab in the corner. I wish we had got some but we got normal (but still tasty) bread.

This is a picture of San Francisco from the boat going to Alcatraz.

This is my mom and I in the high secruity section of Alcatraz. The whole Alcatraz tour was really fun and interesting. I have no idea why my mom is making that face.

Chinese Opera

This is the coolest piece of artwork ever! It is an asian godess standing in front of a lake. It is made intirely out of string and is even cooler in person. My dad and I had hapened to walk in a Asian art gallery and found this. There were many other beautiful pieces in the gallery but this one was the best. My dad wanted to buy it but it costed much over 1000 dollers and he didn’t think my mom would approve of him spending that much money on one piece of art.
