Both were quite enjoable and the scenerey in the Chichibu region is really great. @gogouci: The Chichibu area is not in Tokyo, it is actually to the north-west. Depending on the trains that you take and from where you start, I'd say it takes between one and two hours to get there from Tokyo. I’m looking forward to see the other pictures. :)
