I missed yesterday’s football game, as I was in Portland at the OSAA 5A Volleyball Championship<\/a>, so the loss was less painful. But has anyone else noticed that the SOU football team has lost three “Senior Day” games in a row? Over the past three seasons, the Raiders are 12-0 at home in games that weren’t Senior Day and 0-3 on Senior Day. Coincidence? I think so, but still…<\/p>\n

Massey has dropped SOU in its rankings to #4. The coaches aren’t likely to be as kind. I’m predicting tomorrow’s top ten to look like this:<\/p>\n

1. Morningside
\n2. Baker
\n3. Grand View
\n4. Doane
\n5. Saint Francis
\n6. Montana Tech
\n7. Southern Oregon
\n8. Marian
\n9. Tabor
\n10. Montana Western<\/p>\n

Assuming SOU and Montana Tech win their final games, I’m predicting the final top seven to look like this:<\/p>\n

1. Morningside
\n2. Baker
\n3. Grand View
\n4. Saint Francis
\n5. Montana Tech
\n6. Southern Oregon
\n7. Marian<\/p>\n

If things end up this way SOU will likely get only one home game in the playoffs (unless two or more teams in the top five are upset in the first round).<\/p>\n

SOU must win at EOU to make the playoffs. The winner of the Montana Tech vs. Montana Western game will also make the playoffs. Montana Western will not make the playoffs if they lose to Montana Tech.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
