The new coaches poll<\/a> has the last undefeated team in the #8 spot (up from #12 last week).<\/p>\n

A few things to note:<\/p>\n

– Massey shows the Raiders with one loss since Massey counted the exhibition game against San Jose State (an NCAA D-I opponent).
\n– The Raiders need to get to a top four spot in the coaches poll by the middle of March in order to be one of the four #1 seeds in the national tournament. (12 more wins<\/a> should get them there.)
\n– SOU’s strength of schedule (SoS) isn’t nearly as high as the other top 10 teams according to Massey. Concordia’s departure to NCAA D2 (and being replaced by 0-8 Walla Walla and 1-7 Multnomah in the Cascade Conference) isn’t helping.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
