On Friday the All American and National Champion in the 1500 was named the <a href=http:\/\/www.souraiders.com\/news\/2016\/6\/3\/track-and-field-hixon-voted-ccc-mens-track-field-athlete-of-the-year.aspx target=_new>Cascade Conference Men&#8217;s Track and Field Athlete of the Year<\/a>. Last night he picked up the Alumni Award (the highest award given) at the 2016 Red and Black All-Sports Awards from his fellow SOU student athletes. Today he was named the CCC Athlete of the Year.
