The <a href=https:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/ashland\/2018\/01\/sou-softball-3-in-nation-in-preseason-poll\/>Raiders were picked to come in third<\/a>. After the preseason poll, SOU was never ranked higher than #8, until now. They will finish their most successful season ever at their preseason rank of #3 after eliminating the #21, #9, #3, and #2 ranked teams in the World Series.
