Meaningless, right? Wrong. Had SOU gone into last season as the #4 ranked team, they would have ended up with home field advantage throughout the playoffs and likely ended up in Florida in December. Instead, they were forced to win a couple of road playoff games, despite their perfect record, to make it to Florida last year. They lost the second in double overtime and were sent home with a 12-1 record.<\/p>\n<p>The Frontier Conference power teams may have shifted. Perhaps Carroll College, Montana Western, and Montana Tech won&#8217;t be the teams to beat. This year it may be Rocky Mountain and College of Idaho.
