Instead of forest, desert, wildflower-covered field, or grassy meadow there are a few rocks to climb (not difficult) to get to the top.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/ashland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11S_5310WagnerButte.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/ashland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11S_5310WagnerButte.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have never seen a dandelion seed head this big before. I should have put a finger in the photo to give the viewer a point of reference. Usually they are smaller than a golf ball, but this one (and the others in the field on the Wagner Butte trail) was bigger than my fist.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/ashland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11S_5258WagnerButte.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/ashland\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11S_5258WagnerButte.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"771\" height=\"1080\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32451\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The sign on the top of Wagner Butte has been there for probably a couple decades now.
