In addition to <a href=https:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/ashland\/2012\/06\/yankee-stadium-panorama\/>the heat I mentioned yesterday<\/a>, we had some thunder and lightning. After a downpour, I took today&#8217;s photo. We had planned to walk back over the Brooklyn Bridge (on the left) after dinner in DUMBO, but another storm hit before we finished eating so we took the subway instead.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the Manhattan Bridge on the right over the East River. In the distance, you can see the new WTC 1 nearing completion.<\/p>\n<p>My friend <a href=\"http:\/\/1ofonephoto.com\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">Nelson<\/a> made some minor adjustments to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=10151069181106563&#038;set=a.10150700337771563.456717.533756562&#038;type=1&#038;theater&#038;notif_t=like\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">my original photo<\/a> to come up with what you see pictured above.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had some crazy weather on our trip to New York.
