The reason for traveljapanblog.com is my family and I lived in Japan from August of 2009 until August of 2010, and this site was originally set up for that year.

While in that part of the world I also took trips to China and Thailand.

Before going to Japan, we spent the summer of 2008 in Denmark with side trips to Sweden, Norway, and France. 

I was back in Scandinavia in the summers of 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2012 I took trips to New York City, Boston, Newport Beach, California, and San Francisco.

In 2013 I spent a brief amount of time in Japan and also many weeks in Korea. In 2014 I went to Mexico for a couple weeks in August.

This blog was mostly about Japan, but now it also includes some of my other travels, as well as some concert and sports photography.
