I believe this is a <a href=http:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/wordpress\/2009\/03\/ryozen-kannon-giant-white-buddha-in-kyoto\/>Kannon (\u89b3\u97f3)<\/a>. Did you know that the camera company, Canon, took its name from this Buddhist symbol?
