However, the one that is nearest and dearest to my heart is the Shingen-Ko Matsuri (\u4fe1\u7384\u516c\u796d\u308a), which <a href=http:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/wordpress\/2010\/05\/%E7%94%B2%E5%B7%9E%E8%BB%8D%E5%9B%A3%E5%87%BA%E9%99%A3-off-to-battle\/>takes place in Kofu every spring<\/a>. Perhaps it&#8217;s because Kofu is the first place I lived in Japan. In any event, I was there for the 17th and 29th renditions of the festival. I was many months too late to catch the 42nd version, advertised in today&#8217;s photo.
