Off the top of my head, so I&#8217;m probably forgetting several bands, there was Violator, Anthrax, Jungle Rot, Carcass (not exactly thrash but&#8230;), Sacred Reich, Testament, Hellhammer, Demolition Hammer, Destruction, Tankard, Exumer, <a href=http:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/wordpress\/tag\/metal-church\/>Metal Church<\/a>, Voivod, and Sodom.<\/p>\n<p>Violator appeared to have been on speed or cocaine or something as they hit the stage almost 10 minutes early (which I&#8217;ve never seen a band do at a festival before), played (ran around and talked) like maniacs, and then went overtime (something you rarely see at festivals).<\/p>\n<p>I once owned an original Sepultura &#8220;Beneath the Remains&#8221; tour t-shirt from <a href=http:\/\/traveljapanblog.com\/wordpress\/2009\/07\/sepultura\/>one of their first shows ever in the USA<\/a>.
