We were a bit fortunate on our trip to Mt. Rainier as the smoke situation got better, instead of worse, after we arrived on September 11. We thought about canceling but are glad we didn&#8217;t. That said, on Thursday of the same week, we did one of the most spectacular hikes in the park <b>entirely in a cloud<\/b> and, hence, couldn&#8217;t see much.
