However, the place we booked burned to the ground during the 2024 Jasper Wildfires (less than three weeks before we got there). So we found a place in Golden instead. On our way to Golden from Banff, we drove up the Icefields Parkway as far as was permitted before heading to Golden. Amazing scenery! While it&#8217;s a bummer that we didn&#8217;t get to experience Jasper, maybe this will encourage us to come back someday to see what we couldn&#8217;t this time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We booked three nights in Jasper a few months ago.
