The Cartwright Hotel was our lodging place, and they had us on the top floor in the fire escape room, which meant we could go out onto the fire escape for this view.<\/p>\n<p>This brought back a ton of memories as I used to go to the Sir Francis Drake Hotel (now called the Beacon Grand Hotel) in the 1980s to <a target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">obtain autographs<\/a> of the Cincinnati Reds players. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We just returned from a two-night visit to San Francisco.
