Portishead on the Orange Stage at Roskilde Festival 2011<\/p><\/div>\n

I was a bit familiar with Portishead before seeing them at the Roskilde Festival<\/a>. I knew about seven or eight of their songs but had no idea what they looked like. I was pleasantly surprised by their performance. <\/p>\n

About 30 minutes before taking the above photo (after Mastodon<\/a>) I had a Spinal Tap moment, got a bit lost, and actually ended up under the Orange Stage you see pictured. The Orange Stage at Roskilde is a beautiful thing. I had no idea I would end up under, on, and behind it when the day began. It was a good day.<\/p>\n

Portishead is not a band that is easy to see live as they don’t perform often. This fall, however, they are going to play in about a dozen venues in North America.
