Lawrence M. Krauss speaks at SOU
Yesterday I went to SOU’s weekly Friday Science Seminar for the first time in a few years. Dr. Lawrence M. Krauss did not disappoint the huge crowd. Speaking of the crowd, he spoke the night before too. Everyone that heard him the night before who didn’t have to work on Friday came to hear him again which meant that every seat was taken long before he started. The aisles filled with people and he invited those out in the hall trying hear to come sit down around his feet. The audience was breaking every piece of the fire code I’m sure. No one could have left if they wanted to. Luckily, no one wanted to.
Krauss is funny and he gets the audience to think. Don’t miss him if you ever have the chance to hear him speak. He is sort of Richard Feynman‘s replacement. He left us with the “inspiring” messages that “the future is miserable” and “you are not as special as you think you are,” but yet we all left with a smile on our face and new thoughts racing through our heads.
