The Grateful Dead concert on the campus of Southern Oregon College (now SOU) in Britt Hall

My office is now in this building. Britt Hall was the SOU gym from 1937 until the 1950s. From the 1950s it included the campus bookstore, cafeteria, and the Britt Ballroom (where concerts were held–the flyer is in error saying that it will be held in the SOC gym… it was held in the former SOC gym that had been renamed the Britt Ballroom). Now it’s classrooms and faculty offices and includes the OHSU School of Nursing in Ashland.
