Bandon, Oregon
I was digging through some old pictures and found the above one from a trip we took to the Southern Oregon Coast more than four years ago. The beach house we rented was in Bandon. Those aren’t pictures you see on the walls. Those are windows. My kids seemed more interested in the TV, but I couldn’t stop looking out the windows.

This photo is interesting – the views out of the windows are phenomenal and I like how the kids are not focused on them but are even maybe a little bit bored. It kind of pops the illusion we prefer, that children are somehow more aware because their minds are less cluttered/worried/obsessed. Delightful creatures though they can be, they are often sleepwalking, just like the rest of us.

I can understand why there are so many windows. What a great view and location. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

What a great vacation home. Bandon is amazing. I have wonderful memories of visiting my grandparents there as a child. We went to the 4th of July celebration on the beach there, we had such a great time. I haven’t been there as an adult. I am sure it would be a very different experience.
