The Case Against 8 shown at the Historic Ashland Armory

#AIFF14 @TheCaseAgainst8 Today is the final day of the 2014 Ashland Independent Film Festival. Last night was the Awards Celebration. The Case Against 8 won both the Audience and Jury Awards for Best Documentary. The film will be shown twice more today in the Varsity Theatre but tickets are sold out. You can try your luck in the rush line.

#AIFF14 The Ashland Independent Film Festival enters day three today. Ty Burrell (Modern Family, SOU alum) will be speaking to a sold out crowd in the Ashland Armory tonight at 6.

Ashland Independent Film Festival – Varsity Theatre interior

The festival begins in early April, but you can purchase tickets beginning today. Online tickets can now be purchased here, and from 4-6 p.m. you can purchase them at the Box Office Kiosk on the plaza.

Roger Ross Williams – God Loves Uganda @ Ashland Independent Film Festival 2013

I’m always at least a day behind in watching The Daily Show, but thanks to my DVR, I don’t have to watch it with commercials. Last night’s show (1/13/14) featured Roger Ross Williams who was at last year’s Ashland Independent Film Festival.

I volunteered to take photos of his Q&A session with the Ashland Armory audience so it was kind of fun to see a familiar face on national TV.
