@CleopatraDegher
Cleopatra (who grew up mostly in Malmö, Sweden) is heading south. She played in Ashland last night and will be in Sacramento tomorrow night. Check her out if you can. Beautiful stuff.
@SigeRecords
Back in 2006, which seems like yesterday but is actually almost a decade ago, I drove up to Eugene in order to see Opeth play at the WOW Hall. It was the fourth or fifth time I saw Opeth, and the six-hour round-trip drive was well worth it for an Opeth show (as always). As we were leaving the venue we saw a flyer for Isis who was playing in Eugene a week or two later. I was just getting beginning to get into Isis and another six hour trip seemed like a little much at the time. I’ve been kicking myself for not going ever since as Isis never played anywhere close to me again, and they disbanded a few years later.
Flash forward to 2015 and the main guy from Isis (Aaron Turner) and his wife (Faith Coloccia) are coming to play in Ashland! I have been listening to Mamiffer nonstop since this event was booked about 24 hours ago, and I feel as though I may have entered another dimension.
When will Sunday ever get here?
2/8/15 is the date.
Club 66 is the place.
Gather your young ones as this is an all ages show.
The music will likely start between 5 and 6.

Today’s photo is yet another in the “better late than never” category. This show took place almost four months ago, and I’m just getting around to processing this pic now. So sad. But what a fun band! Hopefully they storm through Ashland again someday.
Bädr Vogu kicked off their tour last night in Ashland. Their Pacific Northwest tour continues today (1/8/15) in Eugene @ The Wandering Goat. After that it looks like this:
Fri 9th PDX @ Hell or Highwater
Sat 10th Seattle, WA @ The Mix
Sun 11th Olympia, WA @ Obsidian
Check ’em out. I hear they will do their next tour through Oregon after July 1. 😉
In the better late than never category, today’s photos are from about four months ago at Club 66. This was an all ages show featuring Gravewitch, Repellent, and Dogma. Amazingly enough, PajamaXviolence was not the first band I saw perform in their PJs. EHMD sported a onesie first back in January.
Speaking of all ages shows, there is one this next Wednesday (1/7/15) at Club 66. Bädr Vogu, Urinator, and Hermits will be hitting the stage at 5 p.m. and finishing before 8 p.m.
Speaking of Gravewitch, they are returning to Southern Oregon on Monday, January 26 at 6:00 p.m. at an all ages show at Musichead in Medford.
@100WATTMIND @BigRobertE @LiveAtTheArmory
Southern Oregon’s 100 Watt Mind will commemorate the release of their second album “Creatures” at a “Live at the Armory” show on Friday, January 9. Other performers on the evening include Buckle Rash, Boomrang kids, and Patrimony. You will not want to miss this show, and there will be plenty of space to dance about so bring about 10 friends.
Seattle punk will invade Ashland with a band called Bad Future. Also on the bill will be The Jawbone Club (pictured here) from Rogue River and the Rogue Valley’s own Urinator and Burney Chair. The show starts at 5 p.m.
