Oregon creek

This creek is a tributary to the Rogue River near Galice, Oregon (northwest of Ashland).

Out ‘n’ About Treehouses (part 7 of 7)

Let’s wrap out this series on the tree houses near Cave Junction, Oregon with a photograph of one of the finest tree houses on the property.

Another view from the swimming pool (part 6 of 7)

Here is a different angle from the swimming pool at Out ‘n’ About Treehouses.

You can’t see them too well from this distance, but the field in the center of this picture is loaded with giant sunflowers.

Downtown Ashland before the dawn

brew bar the black sheep noah's river adventures

Continuing the series I began a couple weeks ago, here are some downtown businesses long before they opened for the day.

Another photo of The Black Sheep can be found here.

If you have a large screen, click on the image for a bigger view so you can see your options with Noah’s River Adventures. Do you want to go down the Rogue River, Klamath River, or Salmon River today?

Horse back riding (part 5 of 7)

There are lots of activities besides swimming when you stay at the treehouses. We went for horse back rides.

View from the swimming pool (part 4 of 7)

Here is a view from the pool mentioned a couple of entries ago. A lovely little oasis this was. I hear they now have zip lines at Out ‘n’ About.

Two story tree house (part 3 of 7)

One of the treehouses we did not stay in…

Treehouses swimming pool (part 2 of 7)

From our treehouse we had a bird’s eye view of the swimming pool. I’ll show you some photographs from the swimming pool in a later post.

The water in the pool is taken from the nearby Illinois River. Needless to say, it is very cold but refreshing on a hot summer day.

Out ‘n’ About Oregon Treehouses is actually a Bed & Breakfast. After spending the night in your treehouse you get to eat breakfast in a central location with the other treehouse dwellers.

Oregon Treehouses (part 1 of 7)

Midway between Ashland and the Oregon Coast lies a town called Cave Junction. Near the town is a place called Out ‘n’ About Treehouses. There you can spend the night in one of the many treehouses the owner has built.

This is the one we spent a night in. I think it was the highest one off the ground. As you can see it is way off the ground. If you are afraid of heights I would suggest another one.

In my next six blog entries I’ll show you around the place.

Stream coming off of Fish Lake

I don’t know the real name of this stream/river/body of water, but it comes off of Fish Lake to the east of Ashland.
