Today’s pics are for a project I’m doing with a middle school student. The student took the photos, and I’m posting them here merely so that we can look at them next to each other to talk about.
If you like digging through statistics then check out the Cascade Conference Men’s Basketball Report for the week here.
And the women’s edition…
I mentioned before that the men’s basketball team will face a tough opponent on Saturday night. However, while the pre-season coaches’ poll had Warner Pacific as SOU’s main competition, after the pre-season games, Concordia has moved into that position and up in the rankings to #13. SOU moved up one spot to #3. Concordia will be in Ashland Friday night. So come on out to the games. Women play at 5:30 and the men start at 7:30 both nights.
The SOU Raiders Men’s Basketball Team is heading to Eastern Oregon for a semi-final playoff game in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament this Saturday night. They should take me along as their record when I’m at their games is 9 – 0. Without me they are 14 – 8. Alas, I will be in Ashland this Saturday night.
Kyle Tedder has had an amazing season for the Raiders, leading the team in scoring and hitting over 45% of his three pointers on over 200 attempts. By comparison, only two guys in the NBA have higher percentages with this many attempts.
The final score last night was 100-88 over Portland’s Concordia University, but the game was closer than that until the final minute or two when Concordia had to go into foul mode.
