Last Saturday morning was the 2013 SOU Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Coach Mills is already in the Raider Hall of Fame as the coach of the 1983 Football Team. Coach Howard has the best winning percentage of any SOU football coach, but this is only his third season at the helm.
Touchdown Grizzlies!
Tonight the Grizzlies will play their second-to-last regular season home game in Ashland. With an undefeated record, they may have already played their toughest opponent (before the Oregon State Playoffs next month) in the game where I took today’s photo. Today’s pic comes from their win over Springfield a couple weeks ago.

Today’s photo is from last week’s 0-0 double overtime tie, a contest the Raiders dominated but could never find the back of the net.
SOPride Parade participant
The Southern Oregon Pride Festival begins this week on the 11th and runs through the 13th. The parade down Main Street to Lithia Park will be on Saturday (10/12/13) beginning at 11 a.m. There is also a drag show on the same night at Taroko beginning at 9 p.m. so you may see the little lady in today’s photo there. After Austin Dodge escaped from the clutches of an Oredigger, he threw his first touchdown pass of the day (10/5/13)
Yesterday Austin Dodge broke the SOU Raiders touchdown passing record by throwing eight of them. He held the prior record of six (set last season) along with the current University of Oregon coach, Mark Helfrich.

He broke a couple near tackles in the process.

Tonight the Lady Raiders play the perennial conference champions, College of Idaho. Tomorrow they face Eastern Oregon who is ranked #11 in the country and have a 5-0 record. Both games are away from Ashland, but they return home next week.
Austin Dodge of the SOU football team
In leading the Raiders to a 73-20 win over Eastern Oregon University this past Saturday, Austin Dodge was named Frontier Conference Player of the Week for the fifth time. This Saturday the Raiders take on Dickinson State in North Dakota.
