SOU’s basketball teams, who are a combined 24-2 at this point, hit the road for CCC games this weekend. Tonight they play in La Grande, Oregon before heading to Caldwell, Idaho for tomorrow’s games.

#7 SOU dominates #9 Simpson in wrestling action tonight

SOU won 42-3. Wrestling continues on Friday in Ashland with an exhibition at 5 p.m. followed by a dual at 7 p.m. against Simon Fraser (NCAA Division II).

Congratulations to several members of the Ashland High School Football Team for making the 2013 Class 5A All-State Team. Max Montgomery, Walker Shibley, and Danial White made the first team, and many others made the second team and honorable mention.

David Sturner = Player of the Week
From the CCC website:
“Southern Oregon’s David Sturner has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the week.
Sturner, a senior from Philomath, Oregon, had his ninth double-double of the season and sixth in seven games against No. 23 Cal Maritime. Sturner, who hit the go-ahead 3-pointer and scored consecutive buckets to put SOU up 7 with a minute left, now ranks 6th in the NAIA in RPG (10.6) and 16th in FG% (61.0).”
