SOU beat Warner (Florida) today to make it to final six teams in the NAIA Softball World Series. Not bad for a team unranked until late March and never ranked higher than #18.
Corban is also in the final six despite being unranked until April and never ranked higher than #14.
The Cascade Conference didn’t receive any #1 seeds or home field advantages, yet two teams made it to the World Series (final 10 teams). Both teams are still alive, and both have upset higher seeds (with Corban beating #3 Marian).
If Corban can’t pull off another upset tonight, they will be facing SOU tomorrow with the loser going home and the winner making the final four. Corban won the first four games with the Raiders this year, but Southern Oregon has won the last three.
