Lake of the Woods

I know it’s only January, but I can still dream, right? Today’s photograph is from the 3rd of July 2007. The kids are playing in Lake of the Woods, a little over a half hour east of Ashland. In the background is Mt. McLaughlin.

Lovely photo. I have fond memories of lake of the woods. When I was in high school my best friend’s cool parents invited me to go with her family to Lake of the Woods for 2 weeks in the summer. Learned how to water ski and had the best summer vacation of my life.
