@SOURaiders @SOU_Football

A final public showing of the 2014 SOU football documentary, Becoming, will happen at 6:30 p.m. tonight (4/1/15) at Ashland Street Cinema. Unlike earlier Dose of Dopeness films, this one is not expected to show up on Youtube so get to the theater if you want to see it. There is no cost.

Austin Dodge to be the fourth QB picked overall…

… and that pick will come in the second round?

That’s what this guy says…

The 2015 NFL draft begins on April 30, 2015.

“Becoming” Dose of Dopeness

@SOU_Football @SOURaiders @Jrucker10

Tomorrow (3/31/15) “Becoming” will be shown for the first time to the general public. Showings will be at 6:30 and 8:30 at the Ashland Street Cinema. Admission is free, and tickets will be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, the 6:30 showing has extremely limited seating availability due to many of the tickets being provided to VIP guests. In other words, don’t show up at 6:20 and expect to get in to the 6:30 showing. Maybe come at 6:20 to pick up a ticket for the 8:30 showing and then go grab some dinner. There will also be a showing at 6:30 on Wednesday (4/1/15). The Saturday showing is only for players and coaches.

Backlit deer

@adorama @TamronUSA

I’m probably one of the few owners of the Tamron 150-600mm lens that has used it less for wildlife photography than for other types of photography, but here is a rare wildlife shot I have taken with it.

With an average of 7 yards per carry during his freshman season last year, what will Keegan do for an encore during his sophomore season this fall?

BTW, Southern Oregon is #1 in the nation in the Director’s Cup which looks at a school’s entire athletic program. Full standings can be seen here.

Four softball games at home this week

@SOURaiders @SOU_Softball

The SOU softball team’s Spring “Break” consists of six games. They were supposed to play two today in Eugene, but those were rained out. They will play two tomorrow in Klamath Falls. Friday and Saturday will feature doubleheaders in Ashland. I’m on my way to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for my Spring Break so I won’t see any of these games.

Jeremy Guthrie, AHS alum and pitcher for the Kansas City Royals, will be at the AHS football stadium on Tuesday, March 24 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. to kick off the fundraising for the turf field project. He’ll address the crowd, sign autographs, and be available for photos at the event. Guthrie has generously donated $650,000 toward a turf field at AHS. The field will be used for home football and soccer games, PE classes, and community use. It will be a tremendous enhancement to Ashland High School programs.

Green Grizzly

Grizzly Peak is brown for most of the year. Occasionally it will be white on top, and sometimes it is green on the side. However, an unusually warm winter and early spring, coupled with above average rain, has led to it being greener this March than at any other time I can remember.

Great band. They don’t really sound like anyone, but if you like Mastodon, High on Fire, Red Fang, or Baroness then you will certainly enjoy Problem With Dragons as well. They have shows coming up in Washington, Portland, California, and Phoenix so check ’em out.
