Today’s photo is from the Zombie Walk that took place in Ashland yesterday. I’m not sure how many of these have taken place in the past but at least two or three.

The Oakland A’s were alone in first place for a grand total of one day this season–the only day that counts, the final day. 162 games this season and where you sit in the standings means absolutely nothing for those first 161 days.
Hopefully, A’s pitching will mow down Tiger hitting beginning this weekend just as they did when I saw them play back in May.
Yesterday’s game was very exciting. I watched the first 6 innings from RedZone Sports Bar N’ Grill in Ashland between classes.

SOU Raiders fly past Dickinson State
The Southern Oregon University Raiders had a big victory at home yesterday.
Final score: 45-7.
SOU’s first Raider Stadium football game of the season
This Saturday (September 22), the Raiders will have a conference matchup with Dickinson State at 1 p.m. at Raider Stadium. Saturday’s game will be the first at Raider Stadium. Today’s photo, of Manny Barragan about to apply a stiff arm, is from their first “home” game which took place on September 1 in Medford against Montana Western.

AHS soccer
I watched my first Ashland High School soccer game this past weekend. The JV team took on Klamath Union High School on the Ashland Middle School field.
Brandi Carlile’s 5th time at Britt Festivals
Last time I photographed Brandi at Britt in 2011 I captured an image of her proclaiming that it was her fourth time playing the Britt Festivals. Today’s photo is of her last week, showing that this go around in 2012 was her fifth time performing at Britt.
