SOU volleyball – Brookelynn Cole #10, Emma Gasman #11, and Motade Atanda #3

Hot starts to the 2014 campaign by Cole, Gasman, and Atanda have propelled the Raiders to an 8-2 record and into the national rankings for the first time this year.
Eastern Oregon is ahead of them in the rankings at #14, and they will be playing in Ashland on 9/26. Tomorrow night (9/10), Oregon Tech will be playing in Ashland. Come on out for a 7 p.m. start.

Melvin Mason was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Week, and on top of that he also was awarded the NAIA National Football Offensive Player of the Week for his performance this past Saturday when the Raiders pulled off a big upset in Ashland.

…so do the Grizzlies and my daughter is on that team. 6:45 is the supposed start time (but they frequently start late if JV plays longer than expected).
The good news is I can make Friday night’s SOU game which also starts at 7.

The Southern Oregon University Women’s Soccer Team plays in Medford today (8/31/14) at 2 p.m. This will be their final game at U.S. Cellular Field. The next home game will be on the new field at Raider Stadium on 9/25/14.
Update: The 9/25 game will be in Medford. The field in Ashland isn’t ready yet.
