Governor Brown has taken a lot of flack from conservatives for her handling of Covid-19. However, the stats don’t lie. Hawaii and Puerto Rico shouldn’t really be in the comparison under the link since they are islands and can more easily contain things, but basically Oregon did a better job than every other state except Vermont. Had she done what many other states did, more Oregonians would have contracted the virus (and died or had long-lasting ill effects).

…the Raiders came out victorious in a must-win game in La Grande, Oregon to make the NAIA postseason. Although SOU didn’t win the conference that year, they did win a couple of road playoff games to go back to Daytona for the National Championship game.

Normally there are more judges than spectators when it comes to shot put. Not so yesterday at the Raider Invitational. Tylor King is also on the football team, and a large contingent of football players and other SOU athletes came out to support him. Having dozens cheer him on, Tylor nearly hit 55 feet. Even the shortest of his six throws traveled much farther than any of his competitors. He has a good chance to place at Nationals next month in Alabama.
