People talk about being packed like sushi (sushizume or 寿司詰め) on a crowded train in Tokyo (especially on the Yamanote line 山手線 during rush hour). However, today’s picture is of a bus in Kyoto in the middle of the day. I’ve never minded the crowded conditions of public transportation that sometimes occur in Japan. Of course being 6’4″ with your head above the crowd doesn’t hurt.
