Children’s Day

鯉幟 on こどもの日 (May 5)
Carp streamers (鯉幟) have been flying in Japan for a couple weeks in preparation for today, kodomo no hi. Children’s Day (子供の日) is a national holiday, and these decorations are put up, in part, for good future and in the hope that kids will grow up healthy and strong.
