West Ashland in Winter

Continuing yesterday’s style of showing you the same scene on a different day, today’s photograph is from Ridge Road looking West past Lithia Park below. Here is how it looked in a prior season:

Same tree, different season

I took a picture of this tree back in fall. In my opinion, this tree looks good in any season if the sky cooperates. Here is the autumn pic:

View out my window this morning

This picture has a bit of everything in it: fog, clouds, blue sky, snow. Take your pick.

Bridge over frozen water

Mt. McLaughlin from Camp McLoughlin

Why is the Camp McLoughlin spelling different from the mountain’s spelling? I don’t know. It turns out it isn’t. I’ve been spelling Mt. McLoughlin wrong all this time.

where the deer and the antelope play…

A view from the backyard as a deer attempts to frolic on our neighbor’s play equipment. Grizzly Peak can be seen in the background.

Rainbow

Friday was one of those weird weather days photographers dream about. The wind was blowing so the air was clear, the clouds were going crazy but still leaving some blue sky and rays of sunlight, and rainbows even started springing up in places. I climbed out onto the roof to take advantage of the situation.

Greylock Mountain

Greylock Mountain as seen from a frozen and snow covered Lake of the Woods, Oregon

The view from the other side of the lake looking back to this position, during a different season, can be seen here.

Winter basketball at Lake of the Woods

We spent today at “Snow Capades” which is held at Camp McLoughlin at Lake of the Woods about an hour east of Ashland. I’ll have some more pictures from today’s adventures in the coming weeks.
