It has been years since I’ve seen a train use these tracks in town. Yet somehow it felt a bit unsafe to squat down on them for this photo.
Just some leaves found floating (and some already sunk in the clear water) in Ashland reservoir the other day…
These trees in Lithia Park have quit their chlorophyll production for the year. They’ll try again next year.
There is nothing like walking around campus early on a crisp, autumn morning.
The weather has been really great the past week. I took today’s photo several days ago. When I rode my bike through Lithia Park yesterday, the fall colors were more spectacular, but I didn’t have my camera with me. The foliage changes so much every day. I love this time of year.
The leaves are changing colors around the SOU campus. Here is the same, basic view in a much different season.
This was the scene from my daughter’s flute lesson at 8:30 a.m. this morning. The sun was a little too bright already. An hour earlier and this shot would have been far more spectacular I think.
The Japanese maples in Ashland have gone past their peak now. In Tokyo they are just about to enter their glory.
