@NickGPMusic
A little something from Grants Pass this past December.
Nick is playing from 3-5 at Roxy Ann Winery in Medford today.

Earlier this month I predicted an Umphrey’s show at the Ashland Armory. I was wrong, but they are coming to Britt for the first time. Unfortunately, I’ll be in Denmark at the time (July 5, 2019) so I won’t be able to catch them this go around. If you are near Southern Oregon, you won’t want to miss this show.

BloodMoon Warning @ Club 66 (July 2015 – featuring Jym Harris and Michael Ian Brisbane of Sylent Storm)
@SylentStorm @Dokken
I first saw Dokken back in 1984, opening for Dio at the Oakland Coliseum. I caught a bit of their set in Tokyo, 25 years later. Flash forward another 10 years, and I may be seeing them again.

Last night’s show was amazing. UM announced that they are planning another tour through Oregon near the end of 2019. Hopefully they will hit Ashland the next go around.

On Friday the announcements for who will play at Britt this year began. Trampled By Turtles are playing on July 21. Unfortunately, I will not be there as July 21 is the day I will be returning to Copenhagen from Sweden after the Gefle Metal Festival.
I first learned of Jake Shimabukuro back in 2013. The Ashland Independent Film Festival showed “Life on Four Strings” which I thought was excellent. I’ve wanted to see him ever since and finally received that opportunity last week in the Music Recital Hall on the campus of Southern Oregon University. (He has played at Britt a few times, but I haven’t been around when those concerts took place.)
