Tanner Trosin celebrates as SOU begins a new era
@TannerTrosin @SOURaiders @SOU_Football
Crazy game! I almost left when we were down by 21 in the second half, but Trosin came on, and things worked out for SOU this afternoon on a very hot day in Ashland. Details here.

The deal is for three years beginning in 2016. Calgary was the CFL champion in 2014 (and they currently have the best record in 2015). Looks like they want to continue winning championships.

Last weekend’s loss at Carroll hurt, but it will mean little if the Raiders beat Eastern this weekend and Carroll in October in Ashland. It’s better to win your last game than your first.
Take last season for example. Carroll and SOU split the regular season series (and neither team had lost to any other team at the time), but Carroll was ranked four spots ahead of SOU after winning the game over SOU later in the season.
Tickets to this Saturday’s game in Ashland can be purchased here.

I’m off to Helena, Montana today for Saturday’s game. Although it sounds funny to say the opening game is a big one, this one between SOU and Carroll is important. The team that wins will likely be ranked #1 in the country until they lose.
Today’s photo is from last season’s game in Ashland. SOU won that one. In fact, SOU is a perfect 2-0 vs. Carroll when I am present. Hopefully, I can say 3-0 by the end of September 5 and 4-0 after October 17.

Bored with preseason NFL football? Me too. Well, next week’s game in Helena, Montana counts. Big time. The winner will be #1 in the best conference in the NAIA. The loser will have his work cut out for him. Go Raiders!
