SOU football – Keegan Lawrence
@SOU_Football @SOURaiders @k_law21
With an average of 7 yards per carry during his freshman season last year, what will Keegan do for an encore during his sophomore season this fall?
BTW, Southern Oregon is #1 in the nation in the Director’s Cup which looks at a school’s entire athletic program. Full standings can be seen here.

SOU football’s Austin Dodge throwing behind the 2014 offensive line
@dmgibson93 @SOURaiders @SOU_Football #tbt #ThrowbackThursday
A key piece of the Raiders’ success in their 2014 National Championship run was the offensive line. Austin Dodge was sacked only 23 times in over 540 attempts (an average amount for that many attempts would be around 40). The running backs averaged over 5 yards per carry.
The bad news is that two of these guys (Bubba Rylance and Drew Gibson) graduated. The good news is that three of them will be back for 2015.
SOU football – Jeremy Scottow
@Scottow12 @SOURaiders @SOU_Football #tbt #ThrowbackThursday
After a huge (no pun intended) block by Sean Tow opened the hole, Jeremy Scottow was off to the races on this 11-yard carry to end the third quarter in SOU’s win over St. Xavier University on the road.
2014 SOU football awards brunch – Coach Howard, Drew Gibson, Austin Dodge, Dustin Fretwell, Daniel Breaux, Heston Altenbach
@SOURaiders @SOU_Football
At this past Saturday’s 2014 SOU Football Awards Banquet, Coach Howard named these five graduating/graduated seniors as permanent captains of the SOU football program.
In other news, the first teaser for this upcoming documentary was shown…
I continue to get lots of questions about the photo book documenting the SOU 2014 football season. One of the main questions is about the differences between the editions. There are three editions.
The first edition was an 8.5″ x 11″ softcover with 33 pages inside and was limited to a print run of just 10 copies. It sold for $50 each and sold out in 48 hours.
The second edition was an 8.5″ x 11″ hardcover with 43 pages inside and was limited to a print run of 30 copies. It sold for $80 each, and there is only one copy left here.
When it became clear a little over a week ago that all copies were going to be sold I realized that I hadn’t kept a copy for myself. I began tinkering with the second edition to make a single copy and eventually it grew into 51 pages and a much larger size (11″ x 14″). A couple of the photos in this edition are huge. (11″ x 28″!) After having spent a few hours on this third edition, I decided I should probably print more than just one copy so I printed 10. I’m keeping one. I’m donating two copies that were autographed by the entire team, coaching staff, and Mr. Raider this past Saturday at the awards banquet. One of these copies can be yours if you submit one of the two winning bids at the 2015 SOU Raider Club Scholarship Dinner and Auction on April 23, 2015. All proceeds will go to future SOU student athletes to help offset some of their tuition so bid high as this is a great cause.
A bunch of other copies were snatched up at the awards banquet by parents. I do have two (unsigned, sealed) copies of the third edition remaining for $100 each. Email me if interested.

SOU football – Tevin Lake taken down by Dustin Fretwell after Alex Stork bounced him to the outside
@SOURaiders @SOU_Football #tbt #ThrowbackThursday
Tevin Lake is #5 all time on the NAIA Career Rushing Yards Leaderboard. He passed #6 Dusty McGrorty of SOU in 2014. McGrorty gained his 5,414 yards on almost 200 fewer carries though. Lake was a finalist for the 2014 NAIA Player of the Year Award, an award won by Austin Dodge.
