El Tapatio in Ashland’s 4th of July parade
My random, desktop image of the day was this one. I missed last year’s parade, and will miss next year’s (as I’m heading back to Denmark), but this is from a couple years ago.
The above will search Ashland Daily Photo. |

I slapped my Raiders Gameday! magnet on this truck before the Ashland 4th of July Parade a couple months ago and haven’t seen it since. I hope it is put to good use. I could use it today, actually, at the tailgate in Helena. Or maybe a Carroll fan would steal it here in Montana. In any event, you want to watch today’s game. You can watch it for free at noon PT here.

Some things to do tomorrow in Ashland:
7:45 a.m. — two-mile and 10-k runs (near Ashland Library on corner of Siskiyou and Gresham)
10 a.m. — Fourth of July Parade
noon to 4 p.m. — music (bandshell in Lithia Park, Home State BBQ (all day including Brothers Reed from 1-3 and John Dough Boys from about 5-7), other places around town)
8 p.m. — 27th Annual Star Spangled Spectacular (Ashland High School football stadium)
10 p.m. — fireworks (shot from near the SOU softball field, visible from most parts of town, Ashland Middle School is a good viewing location)
