Every July 3rd there is a fireworks display at Lake of the Woods to the east of Ashland. This photograph is from a couple of years ago. I have very fond memories of this evening.
From our treehouse we had a bird’s eye view of the swimming pool. I’ll show you some photographs from the swimming pool in a later post.
The water in the pool is taken from the nearby Illinois River. Needless to say, it is very cold but refreshing on a hot summer day.
Out ‘n’ About Oregon Treehouses is actually a Bed & Breakfast. After spending the night in your treehouse you get to eat breakfast in a central location with the other treehouse dwellers.
Midway between Ashland and the Oregon Coast lies a town called Cave Junction. Near the town is a place called Out ‘n’ About Treehouses. There you can spend the night in one of the many treehouses the owner has built.
This is the one we spent a night in. I think it was the highest one off the ground. As you can see it is way off the ground. If you are afraid of heights I would suggest another one.
In my next six blog entries I’ll show you around the place.
Before clicking on the video below be sure your speakers are on. A higher volume will provide for better effects. 😉
As this entry appears I’ll be busily packing things up for our move to Japan. I have pre-blogged today and the next dozen entries or so. By the time the next entry appears we will hopefully be in Japan.
The video, below, is my second LX3 video attempt using Hi Speed Burst and video creation software. It came out a bit better than the first. Next time I’ll even add some music to see how that comes out.
My favorite part of the aforementioned hike wasn’t the lake at the end (although it was beautiful). No, the best part, for me, was this meadow. My daughter, on the far left, agreed. She says she is going to get married in this meadow. I’ll show you some more pictures of it in later entries.
