Bamboo
Bamboo (็ซน) is the Zen plant. Bamboo is pliable but nearly unbreakable, beautiful to contemplate, and wonderful to listen to when the wind blows. Bamboo is empty on the inside, but it grows at a frightening pace.

As always, your choice of cropping helps accentuate your subject matter – I forget if I’ve mentioned this before or not, but I like how you choose vertical crops for subjects (such as this bamboo grove) that are quite tall, and long, wide-screen horizontal crops for things like landscapes/temple torii, etc. It really adds extra “pop” to your pictures which is hard to get with uniform picture sizes (sigh… like on my blog ๐ )
