Heading to Jasper (sort of)
Icefields Parkway (Alberta, Canada)
We booked three nights in Jasper a few months ago. However, the place we booked burned to the ground during the 2024 Jasper Wildfires (less than three weeks before we got there). So we found a place in Golden instead. On our way to Golden from Banff, we drove up the Icefields Parkway as far as was permitted before heading to Golden. Amazing scenery! While it’s a bummer that we didn’t get to experience Jasper, maybe this will encourage us to come back someday to see what we couldn’t this time.
