Peder Dovns Slippe (from Sortebrødregade) in Ribe, Denmark

There probably isn’t anything in this photo that goes back to medieval times (until 1500), but this area was active then. Fires, etc. have caused buildings to be freshened over the years, but most buildings in this part of town are from the 17th–19th century.

The “church” in the background is St. Catherine’s Priory which was a Catholic monastery from the 13th to the 16th century before the Danes got tired of the Catholic Church always asking for more money, time, etc. In 1918, Sankt Kathrine Kloster was restored to its former appearance.
