I took a river boat tour while in Chicago. I have many excellent photographs from that tour, but I won’t torture you with a series of them this go around. The above is the only one you get to see. Chicago was the filming location for the Batman series, including The Dark Night. I believe the above picture is of the building used for the Gotham Police Department in the filming of The Dark Night.
The last, and closest, stadium that can be seen from the Sears Tower is Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. The construction in progress at the time tainted what would have otherwise been a nice photograph.
Here is a picture I took a couple days later when I was close to the stadium. I rode around the stadium on a bike but apparently didn’t take any shots while doing so. I must have been having too much fun darting around the Greek, doric columns to remember to pull out my camera.
And, in keeping with tradition, I present a view of the Chicago skyline and the Sears Tower from Soldier Field.
Following the pattern, let’s turn things around again and do a reverse angle on yesterday’s shot. We’re not done yet with this theme. Guess what’s coming tomorrow?
Continuing on our current thread of ballparks and Sears Tower, US Cellular Field, where the Chicago White Sox play, is much easier to spot from Sears Tower. This image didn’t require any cropping.
I saw the White Sox play a few nights later. For some of those photos click here.
