Snowy Mt. Shasta
Continuing down I-5, the wind was blowing rather fiercely. So when I got closer to Mt. Shasta, I pulled over to take an up-close photo of the snow that was gusting off the top of the mountain.

Ashland Library at Night
I took this photo of the Ashland Library the other night as I was getting gas on a rainy evening. I really need to get a tripod for Christmas to improve my night photography. Santa, are you listening?
There is a wreath hanging in each of the windows of the library this time of year.
The view from inside the library is really good. I should take a photo from the inside one of these days.
Good things come in pink boxes
Another photo from our visit to the fairly new Voodoo Doughnut in Eugene…
The line was long (about 30 people), but there is plenty to look at while you wait, just like the Portland stores. We drove by later in the day, on our way to a friend’s house, while the Duck’s were playing football against Arizona nearby. I looked in and only two people were in line. So if you want to avoid the line, go in during a Duck’s game. đŸ˜‰
Snow at SOU
There was no school today, not because it snowed but because the campus is closed this week for Thanksgiving. I went in anyway. Nobody was there. No footprints in the snow on a college campus is an unusual sight. So peaceful…
Today’s photo is from the same basic location (with camera pointed a bit more to the right today) as this prior picture. I was on the steps of Central Hall.
View from Ashland Loop Road
Long before the Ashland Loop Road becomes deserted and looks like this, you can look back over your right shoulder for this view, one of your last glimpses of civilization.
Chateaulin in Autumn
The Chateaulin French Restaurant isn’t much to look at from the outside in winter or early spring, but it can be nice to look at once the ivy covering its exterior turns green. And the place can be really spectacular when the ivy changes color in fall. Next door is Martino’s and Macaroni’s, previously mentioned here.
Ashland Creek in Autumn
Ashland Creek, which runs through Lithia Park, is nice in all seasons but fall has to be my favorite.
Swirls
At the corner of Terrace Street and Ashland Loop Road I noticed some unusual, swirly clouds blending nicely with the curves in this person’s driveway. The fall foliage looked nice too but didn’t come out so much in this photo.
Autumn in Ashland
This was my view this morning during Ellie’s flute lesson on the other side of town. Mt. Ashland is on the far left and the Ashland Springs Hotel is on the far right. A little more blue sky and I think the colors of fall foliage would have been more obvious.
Mt. Ashland has a bit of snow on the top which is a bit surprising considering it has been unseasonably warm for the past four or five days.
